Whistler at Lakeland Animal Shelter wants to meet you!
Let me introduce to you our boy Whistler—what a handsome fella he is! All the ladies swoon over him as he struts by (lol). Whistler is a short, stocky Terrier mix that has been with us since March last year. He loves to be around people once he gets to know them but that is slow going; he does have a fear of strangers which is why we have his kid age listed at 12 and up.
Whistler was placed in our Bright Futures Obedience Training class and passed. He is good with dogs and cats. Because he is a Terrier he can be stubborn and a bit dominant. He needs someone who will provide a structured home environment and stability. Whistler is very high energy and very playful and would enjoy a low traffic home with higher outside activity.
Whistler came to us a stray and was never claimed by his owners. But through it all, he has held high hopes that one day his new forever family will come for him! If you are the one who can offer love and companionship to this little guy that is so much in need of a home, please come to Lakeland and meet Whistler and spend some time getting to know this most awesome pup!
