This Week’s Adoptable Pet

The lucky family that adopts this pet featured here on our blog will receive a coupon from Lakeland good for a “congratulations” gift bag from End of the Leash!

To learn more about how to adopt through Lakeland, please visit their adoption page.  You may also give them a call at 262.723.1000.

Babette from Lakeland is featured here today.

Pretty Babette is a very smart, sweet, and sleek girl who has come a long way since entering the shelter last summer. Babette has completed several rounds of our “Bright Futures” training class and knows all of her basic commands. Although Babette has had playtime with another shelter dog, she can be dominant so the right match is a must. When Babette is out and about on her field trips, getting her energy out, she is much calmer, eager to please, and she is a great companion.

In order for her to develop to her full potential, she needs a home with an active family who can give her the exercise, structure, and love that she needs and deserves. Babette loves people, kisses, walking, hiking, playing ball, toys, treats, short car rides as she tends to get motion sickness, and she just loves to be called a good girl or a pretty girl:) Shelter life has been hard for such an energetic young girl, but she will continue to wait patiently for her special someone to come find her and take her to her forever home.

Won’t you come and meet Babette—you just might be meeting your new best friend!

Learn More About Back to Basics Pet Food

A Back to Basics representative will be in our Mukwonago store on August 25th from noon-4pm. Stop in during those hours to learn more about this great line of food! Here’s an excerpt from their website to get you started:

When we set out to make Back to Basics, we wanted to create a food that truly mimics what a dog would eat in the wild. The result? A food that is as close to what nature would offer in meeting the instinctive needs of your dog.

Remaining true to our instinctive philosophy, Back to Basics starts with real organ meat as the number one ingredient. In the wild, dogs naturally go for organ meats because they’re nutrient-dense and they taste great. We then round out our high-protein diet with green carbohydrates, like field peas. This allows us to keep our formulas free from grain, gluten and potatoes, providing a food that more closely mirrors a diet that your dog would naturally eat in the wild.

At Back to Basics, we extend our focus on quality to everything we do. That’s why every bag is carefully crafted in small batches in our very own small town of Meadville, Pennsylvania by a family that has been solely focused on making the best food and treats for over five generations.

We believe instincts are important. And by following ours, we’ve been able to create a food that’s simply better than any other dog food.

Fromm Feeding Friends Campaign

Fromm’s Feeding Friends campaign is still earning money for the Bichon Rescue and HAWS!  Stop in before August is over to help out one of these great rescues.

For every bag of food sold in the month of August, Fromm will donate 6% to a designated rescue! Proceeds from our Mukwonago store will benefit the Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue and sales from our Pewaukee location will benefit HAWS!

Did you know that Fromm is a Wisconsin company?  They are based in Mequon.  We appreciate your support for local businesses—who give back to local organizations!
