Harmony in Your Multi-Species Household

Do you--or would you like to--have a multi-species household?

This article, "How to teach your dog to get along in a multi-species household" from The Whole Dog Journal gives you some tools for creating harmony among them all.

This peaceful scene would have been quite impossible to stage six months ago. Thanks to some very committed owners, two cats and the formerly predatory dog are living together in harmony. Photo and caption courtesy of The Whole Dog Journal .

This Week's Adoptables from HAWS

The lucky family that adopts one of the pets featured here on our blog will receive a coupon from HAWS good for a “congratulations” gift bag from End of the Leash!

To learn more about how to adopt through HAWS, please visit their adoption page.  You may also give them a call at 262.542.8851.

Figgins is a 1-year-old who came to HAWS as a stray. He really  wasn't into street life - the good life is more his thing - and he is ready to live that life with YOU!  Our volunteers describe Figgins as an "all-around GREAT cat!"  He loves people, would do well with another feline friend, and may even put up with the resident dog...as long as the dog respects the formalwear.  (No drooling please.)

Priscilla, a 12 year old beagle, is a dog walkers dream!  She is loved by all of the volunteers and staff at HAWS for her sweet loving nature.  She and her brothers came to HAWS because her owner passed away.  She misses her owner but hopes that she will find another loving owner by Christmas!
