Hot Dog? Summer Pet Tips!

Don’t forget about your pup’s paw pads on the hot asphalt! Click the image to read at full size. An article in Fetch Magazine reminds us to keep our pets safe and cool during the summer months. Below is a quick excerpt; click here for the full list and article.

As the dog days of summer quickly approach, pet owners need to be mindful that the hot temperatures and the outdoor environment can create a unique set of hazards when it comes to pet safety.

“Summer is a great time to be outdoors with your pet, but it can also put your pet in jeopardy for a number of health risks,” says Robert Misseri, President of Guardians of Rescue, an organization dedicated to helping animals in need. “Even fit, athletic dogs can suffer heat-related illnesses during the hottest days of summer.”

Here are a few tips to help protect your pet during the sizzling summer months:

Donate Just By Shopping in June!

June is your chance to help two great causes simply by purchasing products!

Stella & Chewy’s is reaching out to aid Oklahoma!                          For every Stella’s product purchased, Stella & Chewy’s will donate $.50 for every cat pouch, and $2.00 for every other bag of freeze dried or frozen food or treats to send more food to Oklahoma.

Those who have lost their homes and jobs from the May storms will need help for a while providing for their families, including their pets. There are many missing pets that need housing until their family locates them, and others that are in shelters as their families rebuild their homes.

Fromm is helping to support our Mukwonago Dog Park fund!          For every purchase of Fromm dog or cat food, Fromm will donate $1.00 for every bag up to 5#, and $2.00 for every 12# and over sized bags to the Dog Exercise Area at Mukwonago Park!

They are almost three quarters of the way to reaching their goal, only $6599.67 away! If they raise the amount by August 1st they will start construction this fall! In addition, End of the Leash will match Fromm’s donation! Double the donation, simply by making a purchase in June!

Please share to spread the word and take this opportunity until June 30th to try new flavors, stock up, and help two great causes! Don’t miss your chance to easily donate by simply purchasing products you already need and love.
