What If Your Pet Goes Missing?

Summer is a busy time...and filled with plenty of loud noises from all our activities and weather--thunderstorms, fireworks, and loud vehicles to name a few.  For some pets, those noises are stressful and make them fearful and prone to hiding or fleeing.  Did you know that 20% of pets that go missing have been scared by loud noises?

Dr. Karen Becker has written a helpful article of what do to when your pet goes missing.  She outlines 10 important steps to follow as soon as you realize Fluffy has run away.  The article also goes over prevention steps, where to look for your pet, and she even talks about how to protect your sweet furry friend from folks who may want to steal them.

It's August!  And time for Fromm Feeding Friends!

For the entire month of August at both our locations, 6% of all purchases of Fromm products will help our friends at the shelter.

Purchases made in Mukwonago will benefit Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue and purchases made in Pewaukee will benefit the H.A.W.S. Behavioral Department

What an easy way to make a difference for lots of homeless pets in our area.

This Week's Adoptables from HAWS

The lucky family that adopts one of the pets featured here on our blog will receive a coupon from HAWS good for a “congratulations” gift bag from End of the Leash!

To learn more about how to adopt through HAWS, please visit their adoption page.  You may also give them a call at 262.542.8851.

Helen is an 8-year-old Spaniel mix. She came to HAWS with 5 puppies who have been adopted and now its her turn!  She likes to greet people. She also bonds very closely with her owner. She enjoys dogs from afar or passing by, but doesn’t want to live with them.

Jack is a 1.5-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix. He prefers to be the only furry residence in your home as he does not do well with other dogs or cats.  He is still young and would benefit from training. He does not like to he handled too much; he can tend to get frustrated easily when he doesn't get his own way. Because of that, he can not go to a home if there are kids younger than 10.

Hope you're having a pawsome week!
