Aging Gracefully

It is always our hope that our beloved furry companions live to a ripe, old age with few ailments. Recognizing when they are entering their senior years is an important point to knowing when we should start re-evaluating their diets to be sure they are continually nourished for optimum health!

Dr. Karen Becker wrote two articles that are jam-packed full of the latest advice for keeping your senior pet purring or woofing right along!  These are both must-reads.  And remember, it's never too late to improve your companion's quality of life.  Slow and gradual changes work best!  We love Dr. Becker and sincerely appreciate her generous sharing of her many years of experience.

Beep, Buttons and Bits are a jovial trio of little Zebra Finches! They are approximately 2 years old and love to fly about their cage and 'beep' to each other all day long! They are very relaxing to watch and soothing to listen to!

Buddy is sweet, loving 6 year old Domestic Shorthair! He came to HAWS after his owner passed away. While inthe care of a HAWS foster home we found that he is not a fan of other cats but doesn't mind sharing his company with dogs.

Hope to see you soon!
