Food Allergy or Intolerance?

Dr. Karen Becker of pets.mercola.com posted an excellent article a few days ago entitled, "Does Your Pet Have Allergies or Is It Something Else?"  

Many times it is actually the specific protein we are feeding our pet that is the culprit.  In addition, a true "allergy" isn't the cause, but instead an intolerance (sensitivity) to a particular protein.

Dr. Becker lays out the basics on understanding allergy vs. intolerance, and then gives instructions on how to figure out what protein may be causing reactions in your pet.

BJ and Racoona are a wonderful bonded pair of young cats! They are mother and daughter. Racoona is the more outgoing of the two, but as soon as BJ (the black & white kitty) sees her getting attention she runs right over to get her share of petting, too. They are both playful and love wand toys and chasing each other! 

Molly is the definition of a sweet senior! She is a 13-year-old Dachshund/Terrier mix, looking for her retirement home. Molly is a great on her leash and knows her basic commands. She would prefer to snuggle on the couch over playing with toys.
