Save on A Pup Above Sous-Vide Dog Food

"Most traditional ‘fresh dog food’ has been cooked over high heat. When that happens, the food’s weight shrinks by about 25%, losing a lot of vitamins, nutrients, and protein. Our secret sauce is the power of the sous-vide cooking method, cooking foods slowly and evenly to retain all that wholesome goodness." —A Pup Above

Take advantage of our sale on A Pup Above Sous-Vide (gently cooked) foods—any flavor! Get $3 off 3lb bags and $7 off 7lb bags.

This sale is IN STORE ONLY and lasts through July 31st, 2022.

At the beginning of each month, our creative staff sends out a jam-packed newsletter! Here’s a teensy sneak peek at what was in our July publication…click the images to read! Or, if you want to peruse the whole newsletter, just click here!

Animal Communication on July 9th

Carolee and Maggie.

At End of the Leash, we strive to provide all the tools you need to give your pet her best life! Understanding and bonding with her on a deeper level is one of them, and our good friend Carolee Biddle helps animals and their pet guardians communicate and establish that deeper connection by being the voice for the animals.

Carolee will be at our Mukwonago location on Saturday, July 9th! (Yes, partly during our Caturday event!) Her appointments are available between 11am-1pm. The cost is $55 for a 20-minute session. Cash or check preferred.

To schedule your appointment, please call us in Mukwonago at 262-363-3338.

From Carolee’s website (learn more at Paw Print Studio!):

This is what I have learned: Animals are sentient beings here to be our companions and teachers. Animal communication gives you the insight to what they are thinking and feeling. When we understand what they want to say, we set the stage for harmony in the home. Where everyone gets along!  Imagine that.

I use my intuition, something we all have, to telepathically communicate with animals throughout the world. Telepathy is a language we all are born with. Humans have forgotten how to speak this way but animals use it all the time with us and with each other.  A lot of people say animal communication is a gift, but it is really something everyone can do and re-learn.

From Primal’s website:

To feed Primal is to nourish pets the way nature intended.

In early 2000, our founder Matt Koss discovered that his dog, Luna, was displaying early signs of renal failure. After exhausting all other methods, Matt took the advice of a holistic veterinarian who recommended switching Luna to a diet based on bones and raw food (also known as BARF or Biologically Appropriate Raw Food), which mimics how an animal would consume food in the wild.

With a renewed sense of hope, Matt created his own species appropriate pet food for Luna. After a short time on the new raw diet, not only did her appetite drastically improve, but she also showed an increase in energy and overall happiness. After seeing the powerful results of raw feeding firsthand, Matt set out to bring Primal to market so that other pets could enjoy a happier, healthier, more vibrant life.

We love everything about West Paw—first and foremost, their amazing dog-approved-and-loved toys! But West Paw strives for perfection in so many other ways, too. So you can feel good about spending your dollars on West Paw products! In fact, during the whole month of May, when you purchase any TWO West Paw items, you will get a free book by West Paw called, “The Toy of Cooking” that features myriad ways to use their treat toys in even more ways all year round!

Treats Made in Pewaukee!

Get your dog some Jabby’s Treats! 100% Made in the USA in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.

  • No artificial flavors

  • No corn, wheat, soy and 100% gluten-free

  • Available in Alaskan Salmon, Blueberry Honey & Ginger, and Bacon & Cheddar Cheese

A little about Jabby’s:

Treats Originating from Training Experience

As dog lovers, we want to feed our dogs healthy treats free of preservatives, fillers, and other unnatural ingredients. While developing our homemade recipes, we made sure to keep this in mind. That’s why all of our treats are gluten-free, and chemical and filler free. What makes these treats especially unique, however, is the taste.  My mom has been training dogs for competition for over 30 years. When training, she puts treats in her mouth so that when she rewards the dogs, their attention is always on her face, instead of her hands. One day she asked herself,  “Why should dog trainers have to taste treats that are unpalatable? More importantly, why should their dogs have to?" Because of this training tip, she wanted a dog treat that tasted great not only to her dogs but to humans too. So, we set out to create a dog treat that trainers would enjoy just as much as dogs do, and Jabby’s Dog Treats was created. We specially designed our treats to deliver nutrients and flavor in a small package. They are healthy, delicious treats that are easy to chew and break apart for older dogs, meaning that all dogs, no matter their age or size can enjoy them. When a treat tastes good enough for a human to enjoy, you know your dog will love it just as much. By treating your dog with Jabby’s, his attention is all on you.

Thanks,

Nancy and Natalie Jablonski

HAWS PET OF THE WEEK

To learn more about how to adopt through HAWS, please visit their Adoption Procedures page.  You may also give them a call at 262.542.8851.

This week we have one remaining "Carroll Dog" who is looking for his fur-ever home!

HAWS has a partnership with Carrol University's Animal Behavior program. For the third year, students taking Advanced Skills in Canine Management and Training live with and train adoptable HAWS dogs for the entire semester. This unique partnership offers shelter dogs awaiting their adoptive homes the opportunity to leave the shelter setting, while simultaneously developing real world skills in future animal behavior professionals.

Drax is a tall, lanky, one-year-old, mixed-breed dog. Some of his favorite activities are fetching, playing tug, hiking, and running. He gets along with some dogs, and would benefit from having a fenced in yard at his new home.

Drax can be shy at first, but once he warms up, he is a cuddle bug and who enjoys belly rubs from his people. Drax is energetic and does well with structure and consistency.

The best fit for him would be an experienced dog handler, who is committed to continuing his training.

See more of Drax on Facebook!

Fill out an adoption form here.

Have a PAWsome week!

Talk to Your Animal with Carolee

Carolee and Aria.

Hello, Pet Parents. As much as you love and care your animal companions, there may be times when you are stumped. Wouldn’t you love to ask your animal questions like:

  • Why are you acting so strangely?

  • Why won’t you use the litter box?

  • Why won’t you go potty outside all the time?

  • Why are you plucking all your feathers out?

  • Why don’t you get along with the other dog?

  • What can I do to make you happier?

Whatever the question, I guarantee your animal companion has answers for you. Make an appointment to ask them!

************

You can find the easy peasy details on how animal communication works at Carolee’s website, pawprintstudio.us or the Paw Print Studio Facebook page.

Carolee will be at our Mukwonago store this Saturday, March 12th from 11am-1pm. The cost is $55 for a 20-minute session. Cash or check preferred. To schedule your appointment, please call us at 262-363-3338.

also on the 12th—talk to a primal rep

A Primal Rep will be in our MUKWONAGO store, Saturday, March 12th, from 10am-2pm.

Stop in to ask all your questions about their high-quality lines of raw and freeze-dried dog and cat food and supplement formulas. For a quick view of Primal products we carry, take a peek at endoftheleash.com!
